Justin Burton is an award-winning journalist who became fascinated with birds during his childhood growing up in Missouri. From hearing the Eastern Whip-poor-wills calling at night over campfires in Boy Scouts, to watching Barn Swallows fly around his lawnmower in the summertime, he’s always been curious about our feathered friends. He eventually moved to the West Coast, where he traded Blue Jays for Scrub Jays and Northern Cardinals for California Quail. He now resides in Texas - home to all sorts of species he’s still discovering!
